As Microsoft continues to cease support for its 2003 line of products, it has set a deadline when support for Server 2003 will stop.

Microsoft is slowly but surely killing off its 2003 line of products (Windows XP, Office 2003, Exchange 2003, Server 2003 etc.) and has announced it will cease all support for Windows Server 2003 by July 14th, 2015.

After this date they will no longer provide support, software updates or security patches and all customers are very strongly advised to update to either the latest version of the operating system (which will bring other advantages such as new functionality and stability) and increased security.

This also provides an opportunity to consider migrating some or all of your services into the Cloud rather than migrating to a new physical server.

Either way, you should ensure that you plan to decommission any MS Server 2003 servers by July - contact EC2 IT to discuss how we can help.
