According to Bloomberg, Samsung is considering introducing two new ‘bendable’ smart phones sometime in 2017.

The bendy screens have been dubbed ‘Project Valley’ and could feature at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February.

Bloomberg have been tipped off that the models are expected to feature a 5-inch OLED screen that can switch to a tablet-like 8 inch display. The range is rumoured to be called ‘Galaxy X’.

Samsung have already demonstrated there attempts at innovating smartphones with a roll-able HD display being showcased at SID Display Week in San Francisco and curved smartphones have already been incorporated into the Galaxy S6 and S7.

The early release of the Samsung Galaxy S7 helped Samsung’s profits soar to 5.3 trillion in the period January to March, even with fierce competition from Apple and newcomer, Xiaomi.
